Encounters with flowers and leaves

Whadjuk 📍

The children in this project have been immersed in rich encounters with the garden. As they move through this familiar space, they show themselves to be capable explorers—curious, observant and responsive to what the garden offers.

The children’s learning is deeply aligned with the concepts of Traces, Textures and Assemblage. Children are not passive recipients of nature-based activities; they are active participants in dynamic systems where their actions leave marks, their bodies encounter texture, and learning arises through complex relationships between people, places and materials.
