A network of educators, researchers and children exploring ecological literacies through collaborative inquiry, progettazione, and Indigenous ways of knowing

We are a community of educator-researchers united by a shared commitment to deepening the understanding of ecological systems, regenerative practices, and the connections between people and the environment. Our network brings together a research team, 25 educators and 500 children from across Australia. Together, we are exploring how the Reggio Emilia Approach can enhance ecological literacy in early childhood education.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which this project takes place, including the Whadjuk Noongar people of Boorloo (Perth), the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people of Naarm (Melbourne), and the Palawa people of Nipaluna (Hobart). We pay respect to Elders past and present and recognise their continuing connection to Country, culture, and community. We also acknowledge First Peoples across Australia and honour their knowledge and care for Country.
